There are the four main causes of hearing loss as follows:

1.AGE RELATED HEARING PROBLEMS:
Hereditary hearing loss can be conductive,sensorineural or mixed and is the result of a genetic trait passed down from a parent. A study performed by the university of washimgton seattle reports there are more than 400 known genetic syndromes that include hearing loss. Presbycusis usually affects both ears equally and graudally. 
2.NOISE-INDUCED HEARING LOSS:
Noise induced hearing loss is caused by prolonged exposure to loud noise. The culmination work, noisy office environment or loud music can negatively impact your hearing. While noise induced hearing loss is generally temporary in nature,repeated overexposure to loud noise make it harder for the ear to recover between events. The noise  damages inner part of the ear badly.
3.UNILATERL HEARING LOSS:
Unilateral hearing loss (UHL), sometimes referred to as Single Sided Deafness (SSD), is hearing loss that occurs in just one ear. It can cause difficulty hearing speech on the affected side and locating the source of sounds.
Causes of unilateral hearing loss include:
· Trauma to the ear/head.
· Genetic or hereditary conditions.
· Specific symdromes.
· illness and infections.
4.OTOTOXIC MEDICATION:
There are numerous types of medication that have been linked to permanent hearin loss that includes:
· aspirin and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
· Chemotherpy drugs.

The key to keeping your hearing healthy is knowing how much loud sound you are exposed to. A ‘noise diet’ can protect your heaving from future problems.

1.USES EAR PLUGS:

The louder noise and the longer you are exposed to it,that create the greater chances of damaging your hearing.you always protect your ears by using ear protector in your ear like earpugs or earmuffs-and get away from the noise as quiuckly or as often as you can. If you cant leave the venue,take regular breaks.A 10-minute rest break will give your ears some time to recover.

2.WEAR EAR PROTECTOR:

If you are working in the noisy areas always using ear protectors(ear plugs or ear muffs)to protect your ears for hamful noises like-powerdrills,saws,sandersor lawn mowers.

3.HAVE A HEARING DETOX:

Give your ears time to recover after they have been exposed to loud noise. According to action of hear losss,you need at least 16 hours of rest for your ears to recover after spending around two hours in 100db sounds,for example in a club.

4.AVOID EXTREMELY LOUD SOUND:

Excessive noise exposure is one of the most common cause of hearing loss. There are the some examle of extremely loud sounds to avoid-gunfire, power tools,jetengine,explosives,rockconcert,large sporting events etc.

5.DON’T SMOKE:

Tobacco plays a very effictive role to loss our hearing power. If you smoke,protecting your hearing may be a reason to quit.
